The Cotswolds Were All We Hoped They Would Be

The Cotswolds were everything we hoped it would be even exceeding our expectations.  The walk was fabulous.  We stated out walking down a tree covered lane which eventually led into an open pasture.  The pasture led to another field, this time with sheep and young lambs.  This gave way to the charming village of Upper Slaughter (known as one of the few “happy” villages which did not lose members fighting in either the First or Second World Wars) where we visited their small church.

Following the road we entered Lower Slaughter with its stream and bridge. Eventually the stream turned into a channel to run a water wheel where we had ice cream.

What a great way to spend a couple of hours and stroll a couple of miles.

Thank you for following us along on the trip. Leave a comment or send me a note .  Thank You.  Rob
